To our family and friends of Norwood Nursing Home,

We hope that you are doing well during these uncertain times as we all deal with the rapidly evolving impacts of COVID-19. We would like to keep in touch with you during this time. We would like to assure you that we are taking every precautionary measure and following all Ministry guidelines to protect our residents and staff. As you all know the Ministry has suspended ALL non-essential visits to this facility until further notice. We are not allowing any visitors to come in as the situation is still evolving. Currently, we are doing well and there has been no illnesses at our Home. Please rest assured that you can always contact your family member/ friend residing at Norwood over the phone; Administration or the Nurse will be happy to transfer your call to them. You can reach us at 416-535-3011 ext. 101 (main office), ext. 102 (1st floor nursing station), ext. 103 (2nd floor nursing station).

Our Activity department will also be able to connect you with your loved ones through virtual program on an Ipad if you would like to see your loved ones via camera.

As mentioned, the Ministry of Health has been providing us with updates on Enhanced Infection Prevention and Control Measurements which we are following for staff as they are thoroughly screened as they enter the building. All staff must complete this screening process including their temperature being taken at the entrance. We are all following precautionary measures in order to protect everyone’s health in the building, i.e. wearing masks, gloves and if necessary gowns, as well as hand washing and sanitizing often and keeping our distance from one another.

Please stay safe during this uncertain time, and let’s hope we can all fight this together and see each other soon!

Well wishes and stay safe,
